"a" for apple pie
Was fooling around one day and thought I would make my apple pie a little different. I started adding things I had never used before and it turned out so good that my family ate the whole thing after dinner.

Ingredients
- 8 - granny smith apples
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
- 3 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 jar of your favorte carmel topping
- 2 cups chopped walnuts
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup dark risins
- - your favorite double pie crust recipe or a box of 2 crust from your store
- 1 - egg, beaten to brush on top of pie
How To Make "a" for apple pie

Step 1Preheat your oven to 350

Step 2Peel and slice your apples and place in a large bowl. Sprinkle enough flour or corn startch to cover all the apple slices.

Step 3Using a deep dish pie plate. Place the first pie crust on the bottom of your pie plate.

Step 4Pour in your carmel sauce, sprinkle with chopped walnuts, dried cranberries and raisins.

Step 5Place sliced apples evenly over all and sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Place the butter in dots across the top of mixture.

Step 6Place top crust on pie and turn ends under to seal and decorate as disired.

Step 7Brush pie with beaten egg using a pastry brush and sprinkle a little sugar on it.

Step 8Place strips of foil around edges to prevent burning and place in oven.

Step 9Bake for 45 minutes to an hour or until top crust is golden brown.

Step 10Remove from oven and place on rack to cool.

Step 11Serve by itself or with ice cream or whipped cream.
