I took 5 different pumpkin pie recipes and combined to get this one..i made several for thanksgiving and passed them out to different friends and family.. The result from responses was...best pumpkin pie they ever had...

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon chinese five spice
  • 5 - eggs
  • 4 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 can 29 oz real pumpkin
  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk

How To Make 5-2-1 pumpkin pie

  • Step 1
    preheat oven to 425 degrees....Mix dry ingredients, in a separate large bowl beat eggs, molasses and stir in pumpkin. Add dry ingredients to egg mixture, mix well. Gradually add condensed milk and mix well.
  • Step 2
    Mixture makes enough for 2 nice size pies...i used a butter/vinegar pie crust recipe and was very pleased with the turnout. I sprayed edges of pie crust with butter flavored spray and sprinkled sugar around the edges before filling with pumpkin pie mixture.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes then reduce temperature to 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until knifeinserted in center comes out clean. Cool 2 hours and refrigerate...
