  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 1/2-1 c
    chopped nuts
  • 1 c
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/2 pt
    heavy cream, whipped

How to Make 1920's 104 Radio REcipe #23, "Thanksgiving pie"


  1. Pare apples and slice fine. Arrange a layer on a pie plate and sprinkle with one-half cup of the sugar. Put in another layer of apples and cover with a mixture of the remaining sugar, flour, butter, and nuts, creamed together. Bake in a moderate oven - about an hour. Serve warm with the whipped cream.
  2. 325=375 F. = Moderate oven
