These are easier to make than it seems they should be because they're absolutely delicious!

Makes 24 tarts
Ingredients
- 3 oz packages at room temperature
- 1\2 cup butter at room temperature
- 1 cup flour
- 2/3 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 egg - beaten
- 3\4 cups (firmly packed) brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How To Make vickie's pecan tarts

Step 1Combine cream cheese, 1\2 cup butter and flour into pastry. Chill one hour or longer. Divide into 24 parts. Shape into balls. Press each ball into miniture muffin tin. Leave no holes

Step 2Partially fill the 24 tart shells with pecans. Combine remaining ingredients and 1 tsp butter; mix well.

Step 3Pour 1 tsp over pecan-filled shells. Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees or until brown. Cool slightly. Remove from tins.
