This lovely recipe was givin to me by a freind. She received it from a Chef in Pleasanton CA. I have made it for very special occasions for family and friends. It is well loved and appreciated by all.

Ingredients
- 2 packages ladyfingers
- 2 packages mascarpone cheese
- 6 ounces heavy whipping cream
- 5 ounces sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup strong espresso
- 1 1/2 ounces good rum
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder or chocolate shavings for garnish
How To Make tiramisu

Step 1In mixer with paddle, combine mascarpone cheese, whipping cream, sugar and vanilla.

Step 2In separate bowl combine espresso and rum.

Step 3Line bottom of glass rectangular dish with lady fingers and soak with the espresso and rum mixture. (I usually spoon onto each ladyfinger until it is soaked through).

Step 4Top with the mascarpone mixture.

Step 5Place another layer of ladyfingers on top and soak with more of the espresso and rum mixture.

Step 6Spread remaining mascarpone mixture making sure to smooth top layer.

Step 7Spinkle cocoa powder or chocolate shavings on top.

Step 8Store in the refrigerator, best if made at least 1/2 day ahead of serving.
