This is the most fabulous dessert and so very much worth the effort to prepare it!
It's easier than you think and the wow factor is off the charts!

6 largeegg yolks
3/4 cgranulated sugar
1 1/4 cheavy cream
1/2 tspvanilla extract
1 lbmascarpone cheese
1/4 cstrong brewed coffee, room temperature
2 pkgladyfingers (3 oz. each)
1 Tbspunsweetened cocoa
How to Make Tiramisu
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until well blended. Whisk in milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Boil gently for 1 minute, remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Cover tightly and chill in refrigerator for 1 hour.
In a medium bowl, beat cream with vanilla until stiff peaks form. Whisk mascarpone into yolk mixture until smooth.
In a small bowl, combine coffee with rum. Split ladyfingers in half lengthwise and brush with coffee/rum mixture.
Arrange half of soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a 11 x 7 inch dish. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over ladyfingers, then spread half of the whipped cream. Repeat layers (ladyfingers/ mascarpone mixture/whipped cream). Sprinkle with cocoa.
Cover and refrigerate 4-6 hours until set.
