This glaze works very well to decorate cookies and can be colored any color you want with a few drops of food coloring

    3/8 cup milk
  • ·
    3/8 cup light corn syrup
  • ·
    1 pound box confectioners sugar
  • ·
    desired flavor extract
  • ·
    desired food color

How to Make Sugar Glaze for Decorating cookies


  1. Mix sugar and milk. Then add corn syrup just until combined
  2. Now you add your flavoring and coloring. If you want more than one flavor or color split the glaze now. Then add a few drops of the flavor you prefer (vanilla, orange, lemon, coconut, anise, etc) and a few drops of food coloring until glaze reaches the desired color.
  3. Now decorate away!!
