My mom makes me make this dessert for every family picnic and get together. Everyone loves it!

crushed pretzels
2/3 c
melted butter
2 Tbsp
sugar
8 oz
cream cheese, softened
1 c
powdered sugar
1 large
cool whip
1 large
box strawberry flavored gelatin
20 oz
frozen strawberries, sliced
2 c
boiling water

How to Make Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 350F. Mix together crushed pretzels, melted butter and sugar. Press into bottom of 13x9-inch pan. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes; cool.
  • 2Cream together cream cheese, powdered sugar and half of cool whip. Spread ontop of cooled pretzel crust.
  • 3Mix boiling water with gelatin until dissolved. Add frozen strawberries, allow to set for a few minutes, until kind of firm. Spread over cream cheese layer. Refrigerate 30-45 minutes until set. Top with remaining cool whip. Cut into bar pieces and serve.
