strawberry cheesecake squares

Made these for a church get together. They were awesome. Picked up some huge, juicy fresh strawberries at the markey yesterday, think I will try a layer of that atop the cheesecake. The one I made for the church do, I used my Hubby's homemade nectarine,cherry,plum jam, worked great.

Ingredients
- CRUST
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup finely chopped almonds
- 3/4 cup canola margarine
- FILLING
- 2-8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 2/3 cup regular sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup strawberry jam
- 3/4 cup sliced almonds
How To Make strawberry cheesecake squares

Step 1Crust: Combine all ingredients for crust til crumbly. Reserve 3/4c for topping. Press remainder into 13 x9 cake pan, sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 12-15 mins til edges are golden.

Step 2Filling- Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs & extract until smooth. Spread evenly over hot crust. Bake 15 mins. longer. Stir jam until smooth. Spread over filling. Stir sliced almonds into reserved crumble mix. Sprinkle over jam. Bake 15 mins. longer. Cool completely on wire rack. Chill 3 hours or overnight before cutting into squares. Store chilled.
