Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 - eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups sifted, flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How To Make sour cream donuts

  • Step 1
    Combine sour cream and milk; beat until foamy. Gradually add sugar and eggs, beating until sugar is dissolved.Stir in vanilla and sifted dry ingredients.
  • Step 2
    Chill 1 hour. Roll 1/2 thick. Cut out doughnuts.
  • Step 3
    Fry in deep hot fat (365) until bown on both sides and cooked through.
  • Step 4
    Drain on paper towels.
