This is my most requested recipie for family gatherings. And so easy to make. I always have to take more than 1 pan. Kids love them.

1 c
butter, room temperature
1 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
2 c
all purpose flour
1 c
graham crackers, crushed
4 c
marshmallows, mini
12 oz
chocolate chips
1 c
chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 c
peanut butter (optional)

How to Make Rocky Road Smores Bars

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large bowl,beat 1 c. butter,1 c. brown sugar,and 1/2 c. peanut butter until smooth.The peanut butter is not required if you do not like it.
  • 2In a medium bowl, combine 2 c. flour and 1 c. graham cracker crumbs. Add this mixture to the butter mixture and mix well. Press into the bottom of a jelly roll pan.
  • 3Sprinkle 12 oz. of chocolate chips on top, then 1 c. nuts, then 4 c. mini marshmallow. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Marshmallows should be golden brown. Cool and cut into bars.
