1/2 stickbutter or margarine
3/4 cwhite sugar ( or substitute splenda )
1 cfarina - or cream of wheat
1 Tbspbaking powder
6eggs beaten well
1lemon zest, grated ( save orange for later )
1/2 corange juice, fresh
1 calmonds, chopped fine
How to Make Revani
- mix butter and sugar until light and creamy.
- add farina and mix well.
- Add the eggs one at a time and mix after adding each egg until well blended.
- Mix alternately the wet and dry ingredients incorporating them together.
- Bake cake in a 11x7 glass pyrex for 30 minutes in a 350'F degree oven.
Make syrup once cake is almost done baking.
- Simple Syrup:
2 cups white sugar
2 cups water
lemon and orange slices ( i use oranges only and squeeze some of the juice in the syrup )
1 cinnamon stick
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cardamom
Boil for 15 min pour over semi cooled cake, cut into diamond shape pieces ( or whatever shape you like ).
