This serves 12 with ease and is great to take to pot luck dinners!

1 box
yellow cake mix, prepared as directed
2 pkg
vanilla instant pudding, prepared as directed..these are the 4 serving size pkgs.
1 can(s)
cherry pie filling - 21 oz size
1 can(s)
crushed pineapple, mostly drained, 20 oz size
bananas 2 or 3, depending on size
8 oz. containers of cool whip, thawed
2 oz
almonds, slivered


1Crumble half of the baked cake in bottom of large glass bowl. This looks really special in a punch bowl. Add half of the can of cherry pie filling, half of the can of crushed pineapple, 1 banana (cut into slices), one container of Cool Whip, and half of the almonds.
2Repeat this with remaining ingredients.
3Cover and store in refrigerator. This tastes better if done several hours in advance or overnight as it gives the flavors a chance to blend.
