My mom gave me this recipe, she has made these for Thanksgiving dinner many times. Personally, I prefer these to pumpkin pie.

Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup quick cooking oats
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 16 ounces can pumpkin puree
- 13 ounces can evaporated milk
- 2 large eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
How To Make pumpkin squares

Step 1Combine flour, oats, 1/2 c. brown sugar, and 1/2 c. butter in mixing bowl; mix until crumbly. Press into an ungreased 9X13 pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

Step 2Combine pumpkin, milk, eggs, sugar, salt, and spices in mixing bowl; beat well. Pour into cooled crust. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.

Step 3In the meantime, combine 1/2 c. brown sugar, chopped pecans, and 2 Tbsp. butter; sprinkle over pumpkin filling. Return to oven and bake 15-20 minutes more or until set. Cool.
