These bars smell so good when baking because of the spices. This was a cake and I changed it over to make bars because I was looking for finger foods for a party. My Mom always made this cake around the Christmas Holidays because she said it made the house smell good.

Ingredients For pumpkin raisin bars

2 cflour
-
2 csugar or sugar substitute

2 tspbaking powder

1 tspbaking soda

1 tspcinnamon
-
1 tspnutmeg
-
1/2 tspsalt

1/2 tspcloves
-
1 coil (i use corn oil)

4eggs
-
1 can15 oz can - (2) cups pumpkin
-
1/2 cchopped nuts (nuts can be left out if anyone has an allergy)

1/2 craisins
- FROSTING

1/3 cmargarine or butter, softened
-
13 oz pkg. of cream cheese, softened

2 cpowdered sugar
-
1 Tbspmilk
-
1 tspvanilla
How To Make pumpkin raisin bars

1Heat over to 350 degrees.

2Grease 15" x 10" x 1" baking pan.

3In a large bowl combine all bar ingredients except nuts and raisins.

4Beat on low speed until moistened.

5Beat 2 minutes at medium speed.

6Stir in nuts and raisins.

7Pour into greased pan.

8Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. COOL COMPLETELY.

9In a smaller bowl, combine all frosting ingredients and beat until smooth.

10Frost cooled bars and store in refrigerator. Makes 48 bars.

11If you would like, you can make a 13" x 9" Pumpkin Raisin Cake. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
