THESE DOUGHNUTS ARE AWESOM. I FROST THEM WITH ORANGE FROSTING AND FRY THE CENTER HOLES UP AND SPRINKLE THEM WITH SUGAR. I HAVE ALSO CUT THEM IN HOLE CIRCLES AND SQUEEZED PUMKIN ROLL FILLING INTO THE CENTERS.

Ingredients
- 4 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1-1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 3 - eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup softened butter
- 1 cup cooked or canned pumpkin
- 1/4 cup milk
- - oil for fying
- - orange frosting and or sugar
- ORANGE FROSTING
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 4 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 tablespoon grated orange peel
- 1 - drop of orange food coloring

Step 1SIFT FLOUR, BAKING POWDER, SALT AND SPICES. SET ASIDE. BEAT EGGS, SUGAR, AND BUTTER AT MEDIUM SPEED TILL FLUFFY. BEAT IN PUMPKIN AT LOW SPEED. ADD MILK AND AND HALF OF THE FLOUR MIXTURE, MIX WELL. ADD REMAINING DRY INGREDIENTS AND MIX TO FORM A SOFT DOUGH. COVER BOWL AND REFRIGERATE FOR 1 HOUR.

Step 2REMOVE HALF OF DOUGH TO A LIGHTLY FLOURED BOARD. ROLL TO 1/3 IN. THICKNESS AND CUT WITH DOUGHNUT CUTTER. SHAPE CENTERS INTO LITTLE BALLS OR REROLL AND CUT. REPEAT WITH REMAING DOUGH.

Step 3HEAT THE OIL TO 375, FRY 3-4 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN. FROST OR SPRINKLE WITH SUGAR.

Step 5BLEND INGREDIENTS TOGETHER IN A MIXING BOWL AND FROST DOUGHNUTS.
