Ingredients For pierogi with sweet cheese, mark

    farmer's cheese, ground
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1
    egg yolk
  • TOPPING
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1/2 c
    powdered sugar
  • DOUGH
  • 3 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1
    egg
  • salt
  • 1/2 c
    water

How To Make pierogi with sweet cheese, mark

  • 1
    Dough: Combine flour and egg, a dash of salt, and as much water as needed to knead a smooth, loose dough Roll out on a floured board to 1/4 inch thick. Cut out into about 2 inch cirlces or squares. Filling: Mix chees with vanilla, sugar, and egg yolk. Spoon the mixuture on each piece of dough, fold and seal the edges. Cook in a large kettle in boiling water for 5 mintues until they float. Remove with a slotted spoon to a serving platter. Topping: Melt the butter. Pour over the pierogi. Mix the sour cream with the sugar. Serve in a separate bowl.
