A take on a favorite from The Bakery in Sumpter Township, MI. I've been experimenting with puff pastry for a while, and I love these!

Ingredients

1 pkg
puff pastry sheet, thawed
4 Tbsp
salted butter
1/3 c
white sugar
1/3 c
chopped pecans
2 Tbsp
cinnamon

How to Make Pecanamon Twists

Step-by-Step

  • 1Preheat oven to 400. Melt butter and chop pecans. Mix cinnamon into sugar. Add pecans to cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • 2Lay out thawed dough on greased cookie sheets. Spread melted butter over dough.
  • 3Sprinkle generous amount of pecanamon sugar on the dough. Fold sheets over and cut into 1" strips.
  • 4Twist both ends of each strip in opposite directions til desired twist is reached. Bake at 400 until golden brown and puffed - approx. 18 minutes. Remove from sheet and cool on rack. Makes 2 dozen.
