Pecan tassies are a welcome addition to any gathering. They are a very tasty treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup pecans - chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 dash salt
  • CRUST
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 4 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups flour

How To Make pecan tassies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Mix together melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, brown sugar and a dash of salt. Add chopped pecans. Set aside
  • Step 3
    Cream together softened butter and cream cheese, add flour. either scoop with 1 inch dough scoop or roll into one inch balls and press into small tart pan. I use a tart press to make more even crusts. Add pecan filling to each.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 15 minutes until edges of crust are golden brown. Cool and enjoy. Makes 2 dozen.
