How to Make PEARS IN RED WINE SAUCE.
- put red wine, sugar and cinamonn in a sauce pan large enough to hold the pears whole. Heat and simmer until the liquid becomes a little dense about 10 min.
- meanwhile peel the pears but leave the stems on and even up at the bottom so that they stand up.
- place the pears in the sauce and spoon liquid over them so that they become pink from the wine. Cook until tender.
- serve room temperture standing so that the stems are up with some of the wine sauce. I also serve with hot chocolate sauce.
I serve the hot chocolate seperately so that everyone can serve themselves. Pears go real well with red wine and red wine goes real well with chocolate.
