I make this dessert often if a meal I am serving is a rich one. The pears are very delicate and look nice.

Ingredients

4¬6 large
pears
1 c
sugar
3 c
red wine
2 stick
cinamonn

How to Make PEARS IN RED WINE SAUCE.

Step-by-Step

  • 1put red wine, sugar and cinamonn in a sauce pan large enough to hold the pears whole. Heat and simmer until the liquid becomes a little dense about 10 min.
  • 2meanwhile peel the pears but leave the stems on and even up at the bottom so that they stand up.
  • 3place the pears in the sauce and spoon liquid over them so that they become pink from the wine. Cook until tender.
  • 4serve room temperture standing so that the stems are up with some of the wine sauce. I also serve with hot chocolate sauce.
    I serve the hot chocolate seperately so that everyone can serve themselves. Pears go real well with red wine and red wine goes real well with chocolate.
