i take these to church on sunday morning before sunday school we have these with coffee it seems i take take enough of them they get gone so fast

Ingredients

1 c
packed light brown sugar
1/2 c
butter, softened
1/2 c
peanut butter
1
egg
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 1/2 c
all purpose flour
1 tsp
baking soda
1/4 tsp
salt
10 slice
bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled, divided
1/2 c
chopped peanuts, divided
1 c
semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make Peanut Butter Bacon Bars

Step-by-Step

  • 1preheat oven to 350. coat an 8x8 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  • 2in a large bowl, beat sugar and butter until creamy. beat in peanut butter, egg and vanilla. add flour, baking soda and salt, mix well. stir in 1/2 cup bacon and 1/3 cup peanuts.
  • 3bake 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. return to oven and bake 1 additional minute.
  • 4immediately spread melted chocolate over tops. sprinkle with reserved bacon and peanuts. let cool completely, then cut into squares.
