i take these to church on sunday morning before sunday school we have these with coffee it seems i take take enough of them they get gone so fast

  • 1 c
    packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 c
    peanut butter
  • 1
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 10 slice
    bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled, divided
  • 1/2 c
    chopped peanuts, divided
  • 1 c
    semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make Peanut Butter Bacon Bars


  1. preheat oven to 350. coat an 8x8 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. in a large bowl, beat sugar and butter until creamy. beat in peanut butter, egg and vanilla. add flour, baking soda and salt, mix well. stir in 1/2 cup bacon and 1/3 cup peanuts.
  3. bake 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. remove from oven and sprinkle with chocolate chips. return to oven and bake 1 additional minute.
  4. immediately spread melted chocolate over tops. sprinkle with reserved bacon and peanuts. let cool completely, then cut into squares.
