  • FIRST LAYER

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • SECOND LAYER

  • 2 c
    miniature marshmallows
  • THIRD LAYER

  • 2/3 c
    corn syrup
  • 1 stick
    butter
  • 2 tsp
    vanilla
  • 12 oz
    peanut butter chips
  • 2 c
    salted peanuts
  • 2 c
    rice krispies

How to Make PayDay Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Crumble together cake mix, egg, and 1 stick of melted butter. Press into ungreased 13x9 pan and then bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan heat the corn syrup, 1 stick of butter, vanilla and peanut butter chips. When melted, stir in 2 cups each salted peanuts and rice krispies.
  3. When cake is removed from oven, cover with 2 cups miniature marshmallows, then cover with saucepan mixture. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate, covered. Cut into bars and serve.
