When I first made them I was a bit skeptical because I have always had terrible orange flavored things before but after my first bite I was hooked, and when paired with the Orange Cream cheese frosting...it is taken clear out of the ball park!

These brownies brought back memories from my husbands childhood – he always enjoyed eating orange cupcakes as a kid (but in his "professional" opinion, these are much better!)

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 4 - eggs
- 2 teaspoons pure orange extract
- 1 teaspoon fresh grated orange zest
How To Make orange brownies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 by 9 by 2-inch pan.

Step 2Stir together flour, granulated sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add butter, eggs, orange extract, and orange zest. Using a handheld electric mixer, beat until well blended.

Step 3Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until light golden brown and set. Remove from oven, allow to cool, and pierce the entire cake with a fork.

Step 4Spread the Orange Cream Cheese Frosting over completely cooled brownies. Cut into squares.
