It's "Not" my Original recipe but one I've used for years. Therefore I do not have a photo of one at this time, will post one when I make one of them again.

How To Make "nutty crust"...cinstraw

  • Step 1
"Nutty Pie Crust" recipe...you can use this recipe for all kinds of Nut Crusts....... 2 c ground salted peanuts (options: 2 c ground walnuts, 2 c ground pecans, 2 c ground cashews or 2 c ground almonds).... 3 T melted butter (can also use 3 margarine; I use butter).... 1 T sugar (or use an equivalent amount of sugar substitute)....
  • Step 2
Combine your ground nuts, melted butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl. Press your mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9" pie plate (being sure to make it evenly over the bottom). Then bake at 350°F in a preheated oven for 10-to-12 minutes. When baked, remove from oven and cool on a wire rack. Now you are ready to fill your Nutty Crust with whatever filling you desire.
