Mom used this icing on her apple cake and others. It is rich and the browned butter flavor makes it so different. Not low calorie, however. hehe

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, no substitute
- 3 1/4 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 tablespoons milk
How To Make mom's browned butter icing

Step 1Melt butter in medium-sized sauce pan, stirring. Continue to cook at medium heat until butter is golden brown. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in powdered sugar, then vanilla and milk. Spread on cooled cake while frosting is still warm.
