  • 1 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 c
    brown sugar, light
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 1/2 c

  • 3/4 c
  • 2 Tbsp
    all purpose flour
  • 3/4 c
    pancake or maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 3 large
  • 1 1/2 c
    chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp
    maple extract
  • GLAZE:

  • 1 c
    powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    maple extract
  • 1 or 2 Tbsp

How to Make Maple Walnut Bars


  1. Heat oven to 350. Spray 13x9 inch pan with non stick cooking spray. Combine all base ingredients in large bowl. Beat at low speed until mixture resembles coarse crumbles. Press mixture into bottom of prepared pan.
  2. Bake 12 -14 minutes or until light brown. Make filling while base is cooking.
  3. Combine all filling ingredients in small bowl. Beat until well combined. Stir in walnuts.
  4. Remove pan from oven. Pour filling evenly over warm base. Return to oven. Bake an additional 20-30 minutes or until filling is set. Cool one hour or until completely cooled.
  5. Combine all glaze ingredients in small bowl, blend until smooth, adding wnough milk for desired drizzling consistency. Drizzle evenly over bars. Cut into bars. Store in refrigerator.
