maple pecan cupcakes
This is a new one I worked on last week. Be sure to toast your pecans to bring out the flavor.

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter, unsalted room temp.
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2/3 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 - eggs
- 1 cup self rising flour
- 1/2 cup pecans, in pieces
How To Make maple pecan cupcakes

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 .Beat butter and sugar in bowl until creamy,then beat in maple syrup Add eggs one at a time,then sift flower into mixture and fold in along with the pecans.

Step 2soon mixture into paper liners and bake for 17 to 20 minutes or until skewer inserted into center comes out clean. Let cool completely before frosting.

Step 3For frosting : 12 pecan halves toasted 3 tablespoons unsalted butter at room temp. 4 oz cream cheese 4 tablespoons maple syrup 2 cups confectioners sugar sifted beat together butter, cream cheese and syrup. Add sugar and mix until smooth and creamy.Spread over cupcakes and to with pecan halves.
