This recipe is one from my past in grade school I use to help out in the kitchen and the cook would make this in a large cookie sheet. I changed it a little but not much. This recipe is 50 years old. I still love it and I hope your family does too.

  • 1 c
    butter, melted
  • 1/2 c
    dry cocoa
  • 2 c
    reg flour
  • 2 c
  • 4
  • 4 tsp
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts
  • pinch
  • 1/2 box
    instant chocolate pudding
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda

How to Make Lunch Lady Special


  1. Put all of these ingredients into a bowl and mix in order, Meanwhile preheat oven to 350* and you can bake in a 13 x9" or a large cookie sheet. Whatever you prefer. Make sure to lightly spray the pan or cookie sheet before using.
  2. If u use a 13x9 bake 25 min or till toothpick comes out clean if using a cookie sheet it will be done earlier just test it with a toothpick. Let cool.
  3. ICING: Mix all ingredients together and in order- 1/4 cup softened butter 1/4 cup can milk 1/4 cup cocoa dash salt 1 teaspoon vanilla 3 cups powdered sugar or less pending on your likening
  4. Frost all over let sit for 30 minutes to set or longer.
