This flan recipe is from a co-worker I used to work with who's grandmother married a spanaird and this is his mother's, Isabel, recipe. I bring this to parties and never have any left over! Always a hit, I hope you try it and enjoy it as much as my family and friends!

egg yolk
1 can(s)
evaporated milk
1 can(s)
sweetened condensed milk
1 tsp
vanilla extract

How to Make Isabel's Flan


  • 1Place sugar in pan and heat. Stir until sugar is melted. Pour into a 1 quart casserole.
  • 2Beat eggs and yolk together. Add evaporated milk and beat mixture with wire whisk. Then add condensed milk while whisking.
  • 3Add the vanilla, mix, then pour into the casserole. Place the casserole dish into a pan that has hot water.
  • 4Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
