Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons plus 1/2 cup butter, softened and divided
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 - egg yolk
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- TOPPING
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 4 cups pecans, chopped
How To Make honey pecan triangles

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F

Step 2Line a 13 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan with foil

Step 3Butter the foil with 2 teaspoons butter

Step 4In a mixing bowl - cream remaining 1/2 cup butter with brown sugar

Step 5Add egg yolk

Step 6Mix well

Step 7Gradually add flour
-
Step 8Press into prepared pan

Step 9Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes or until golden brown

Step 10Meanwhile, in a saucepan - combine brown sugar, butter and honey

Step 11Bring to a boil over medium heat

Step 12Cook and stir for 3 minutes

Step 13Remnove from the heat

Step 14Stir in cream and pecans

Step 15Pour over crust
-
Step 16Bake for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly

Step 17Cool completely on a wire rack

Step 18Use foil to lift bars out of the pan and place on a cutting board

Step 19Carefully remove foil
-
Step 20Cut into 24 bars
