2 tsp
plus 1/2 cup butter, softened and divided
1/2 c
brown sugar, packed
egg yolk
1 1/2 c
all purpose flour


1 c
brown sugar, packed
1/2 c
1/4 c
1/2 c
whipping cream
4 c
pecans, chopped

How to Make Honey Pecan Triangles


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • 2Line a 13 X 9 X 2-inch baking pan with foil
  • 3Butter the foil with 2 teaspoons butter
  • 4In a mixing bowl - cream remaining 1/2 cup butter with brown sugar
  • 5Add egg yolk
  • 6Mix well
  • 7Gradually add flour
  • 8Press into prepared pan
  • 9Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes or until golden brown
  • 10Meanwhile, in a saucepan - combine brown sugar, butter and honey
  • 11Bring to a boil over medium heat
  • 12Cook and stir for 3 minutes
  • 13Remnove from the heat
  • 14Stir in cream and pecans
  • 15Pour over crust
  • 16Bake for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly
  • 17Cool completely on a wire rack
  • 18Use foil to lift bars out of the pan and place on a cutting board
  • 19Carefully remove foil
  • 20Cut into 24 bars
