We actually call this Mom's Date pudding! We have this every Thanksgiving & Christmas! So easy & delicious, people think you labored in the kitchen to prepare. It is a dessert to be eaten with a fork. Great with a whipped topping!

Ingredients For holiday date pudding

  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 1/2 c
    water
  • 1 c
    white sugar
  • 1 c
    flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking powder
  • 1 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    chopped english walnuts
  • 1 c
    chopped dates
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make holiday date pudding

    Preheat oven 375 degrees. Boil water & brown sugar until sugar is well dissolved.

    Stir with spoon the remaining ingredients until well mixed. Pour into 9X13 rectangle baking dish or cake pan. Pour the brown sugar mixture over the batter. Bake until golden brown. 30- 35 minutes. Serve either warm or chilled with a whipped topping.
