Ingredients
- 1/2 cup peanut butter, chunky
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 - medium bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 4 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- 2/3 cup whole wheat flour
- 1.33 cups white flour
- 4 cups rice and wheat cereal, crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 6 ounces chocolate chips
- 1 cup salted peanuts, chopped
- 8 ounces dates, chopped
How To Make hiker bars

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Then by hand: In a large bowl cream together peanut butter and butter.

Step 3Mix in bananas, molasses, sugar and vanilla.

Step 4Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg.

Step 5Stir in the cereal and sift together dry ingredients and mix into batter.

Step 6Add chips, peanuts and dates.

Step 7Pour batter into greased 9 x 13 pan.

Step 8Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 35 to 45 minutes.

Step 9Cut into bars.
