Ingredients
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup corn syrup, light
- 1 - egg; beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vinegar
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 2/3 cup oil
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 tablespoons cold water; more if needed
How To Make helen's butter tarts

Step 1Two crust pie pastry; Cut in oil into flour and salt using pastry blender of crisscrossing 2 knives until dough is crumbled.

Step 2Sprinkle dough with cold water 1 tablespoon at a time.Toss with fork till all flour is moistened.

Step 3Roll into a ball. Roll out on floured table or board.Cut size to fit tart shell pan or cupcake pan.Can use glass the size to fit.

Step 4Put dough into tart shell pan or cupcake pan. Form it to fit.

Step 5Mix first six ingredients. Fold in raisins.

Step 6Fill tart shell or cupcake pan 3/4 full with filling

Step 7Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes then reduce to 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
