Ingredients

  • 1/2 Tbsp
    yeast
  • 3 c
    bread flour
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 1
    egg, room temperature
  • 1/2 c
    warm milk
  • 1/2 c
    warm water
  • FILLING INGREDIENTS

  • 1/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 3 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    chopped nuts
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground cinnamon
  • GLAZE INGREDIENTS

  • 1 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1/4 tsp
    maple extract
  • 2 Tbsp
    hot coffee

How to Make Grandma Cinnamon Rolls

Step-by-Step

  1. Place ingredients into pan in the order listed.
  2. Select manual or dough setting.
  3. After the machine has completed the second rising, it will beep.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, roll or pat to 12"x9" rectangle.
  5. Brush with melted butter.
  6. Combine sugars, nuts and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough.
  7. Starting with shorter side, roll up tightly.
  8. Pinch edge to seal.
  9. Cut into 12 slices.
  10. Place on greased 13"x9" pan.
  11. Or cut 9 slices, throw away the two end pieces and place in 9" round pan, with one in the middle and the rest arranged around the outside.
  12. Cover; let rise in a warm place until almost double in volume, (about 30 minutes).
  13. Preheat oven to 375.
  14. Bake 20-25 minutes.
  15. To prepare glaze, combine sugar, melted butter, maple extract and hot coffee.
  16. Blend until smooth.
  17. Drizzle over hot rolls.
