These are a Christmas favorite at my house. They are easy to make and make our house smell wonderful.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 - egg
- 1 cup molasses
- 4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon each ground cinnamon, cloves, and ginger
How To Make gram's cry babies

Step 1Cream together shortening, butter, sugar, egg and molasses. Mix in dry ingredients. Chill 1 hour. Roll 1 teas. dough between hands to about 1/2" long and as round as a finger. Roll in 1/2 cup aditional granulated sugar. Place on a cookie sheet about 2" apart. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
