  • 3/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c
    honey
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2 c
    self rising flour
  • 1 c
    walnuts (optional)
  • 1 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp
    milk
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How to Make Glazed Honey Bars

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat the oven to 350. Lightly grease 13x9x2 pan
  2. In a mixing bowl beat oil, honey, sugar and the egg. Stir the cinnamon into flour then stir this into sugar mixture and mix well.Stir in nuts (if using).
  3. Spread the batter into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes. When done remove from oven n let stand a few minutes while making glaze.
  4. In a bowl stir together the confectioners sugar, mayonnaise, milk and vanilla. Pour glaze over cake and spread evenly. Let cool, then cut into bars.
