Ingredients

  • 2 - eggs, well beaten
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 cups milk, less three tablespoons
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups flour

How To Make funnel cakes

  • Step 1
    Measure sour cream into a measuring cup and fill cup with milk to make 2 cups. Stir milk into beaten eggs. Combine dry ingredients and stir into wet. Beat until smooth. If batter isn't runny add a little more milk.
  • Step 2
    Heat oil to 375 degrees. Pour 3 tablespoons of batter into a funnel covering the hole with your finger. Swirl batter into oil 3-6 inches in diameter.
  • Step 3
    Once lightly browned remove to paper towel to drain. Top with icing sugar and serve with strawberries and whipped cream or ice cream, or choose your favorites.
