Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee or espresso powder
- 3/4 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, plus more for the top
How To Make fudgy brownies
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Butter an 8×8-inch metal pan. Line the pan with parchment paper.
-
Step 2Sift the flour, salt, instant coffee, and baking cocoa together in a medium bowl.
-
Step 3Beat the eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract using a handheld electric mixer on medium-low speed with the whisk attachment for 1 minute. Slowly drizzle in the melted butter while whisking on low speed.
-
Step 4Using a spoon, stir in the flour mixture just until combined. The batter will be thick.
-
Step 5Fold in the chocolate chips. Spread the batter into the prepared pan. Use an offset spatula to even the batter in the pan.
-
Step 6Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the edges are set and the middle is ever so slightly jiggly. A toothpick inserted in the middle has moist crumbs and a few streaks of wet batter.
-
Step 7Cool for a couple of hours before slicing.
