fruitcake squares (bar cookie)
A fruitcake version of a seven layer cookie. This recipe came from one of my aunts on Grandma W's side of the family, but I don't recall which one. I am thinking Aunt Annie...but could be wrong!

Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 1/2 cups graham crumbs
- 1 cup dates
- 2 cups cut up mixed candied fruit
- 1 cup nuts, coarsely chopped
- 1 cup flour
- 15 ounces sweetened condensed milk
How To Make fruitcake squares (bar cookie)

Step 1Melt butter in 15 1/2x 10 1/2 x 1 inch cookie sheet. Sprinkle on graham crumbs. Sprinkle on coconut. Distribute candied fruit evenly on coconut. Cut dates into a little flour so they won't stick together. Distribute over candied fruit, sprinkle on nuts. Press down lightly with hands so mixture sort of levels. Pour milk over top. Bake at 350 degrees 25-30 min. Cool before cutting, and remove from pan as you cut.
