1/4 cshortening

1/4 csugar

1/2 cmolasses

1egg

2 call purpose flour

1 tspbaking soda

1-2 tspground ginger

1 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspsalt

3/4 cwater
- GLAZE:
-
1 1/2 cconfectioners sugar

1/4 tspvanilla
-
2 Tbspmilk +1 1/2 tsp. milk
How To Make frosted creams

1In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in molasses and egg.

2Combine the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture alternately with water, mixing well after each addition.

3Pour into a greased 13"x9" baking pan. Bake at 400* for 13-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack.

4In a small bowl, combine the confectioners sugar, vanilla, and enough milk to achieve desired consistency. Spread over cooled bars
