electric pumpkin cheesecake bars

I found this recipe as a mailer with my electric bill. Sounds good so I thought I would give it a try. Sounds like a good holiday dish and in my case I just love pumpkin.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 10 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup pecans or walnuts finely chopped
  • TOPPING
  • 2 packages 8 oz each softened cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups splenda
  • 1 cup solid pack pumpkin
  • 4 - eggs lightly beaten
  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons ground allspice
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

How To Make electric pumpkin cheesecake bars

  • Step 1
    combine flour and brown sugar in bowl. Cut in butter, stir in nuts.set aside 1 1/2 c of mixture.
  • Step 2
    press remaining mixture into bottom of 9x13 pan bake 15 minutes at 350 degrees. cool.
  • Step 3
    combine cream cheese, sugar, pumpkin,eggs,allspice and vanilla in large mixing bowl. blend until smooth.
  • Step 4
    Pour over baked crust, sprinkle with remaining topping. bake an additional 30-35 minutes. cool before cutting into bars
