Ingredients

3/4 c
cold milk
1 pkg
(3.4 ounce) instant vanilla pudding
2 c
eggnog
1/2 tsp
almond extract
1 1/2 c
heavy whipping cream - whipped, divided
1
(10 1/2 ounce) loaf shaped angel food cake or sponge cake
1 c
raspberry jam or presevers
2 Tbsp
confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp
pure vanilla extract
maraschino cherry halves

How to Make Eggnog Trifle

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a bowl whisk milk and pudding until blended.
    Gradually add eggnog; mix well. Fold in extract and 1 cup whipped crm; set aside
  • 2Cut cake into 1/2 inch slices; place a fourth in a 2 qt serving bowl. Top with 1/3 cup jam. Spoon cup of eggnog mixture over all. Repeat twice. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours
  • 3Fold sugar and vanilla into remaining whipped cream; spoon on top of trifle. Garnish with cherries
