Ingredients
- 1 pound loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
- 1/4 cup plus 1 tbsp powdered sugar, divided
- 2 cups canola oil, for frying
How To Make easy powdered beignets

Step 1In bowl, combine dough and 1 tbsp powdered sugar, mix well, by kneading the sugar into the dough.

Step 2Lightly flour a cutting board. W/ a rolling pin, roll out dough into an 8" x 20" rectangle. Cut into 2"-squares.

Step 3Heat oil in lg, deep skillet over medium heat until hot. Add dough squares, a few at a time and fry about 30 seconds each side. Or until golden. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle beignets w/ remaining powdered sugar.
