Ingredients

  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream, melted
  • 5 - egg yolks
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar

How To Make easy creme brulee

  • Step 1
    melt the ice cream on stove top. beat the egg yolks in a bowl with half the sugar and vanilla, then "temper" the warm ice cream into the egg mixture.
  • Step 2
    pour equally into ramikins, place on a cookie sheet and gently add hot water around perimeter...( water bath)
  • Step 3
    bake a 350 degrees for about 30 mins...or depending on your oven maybe 40 mins....
  • Step 4
    let cool and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
  • Step 5
    prior to serving, sprinkle each with sugar and melt with a mini torch OR broil in oven till golden brown ....refrigerate again for another 15 mins....then serve chilled....crack the sugar top and enjoy.
