This is a very good but easy dessert to make in the crockpot. I have even added a cup of golden raisins for extra taste and texture. Great served warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

Ingredients
- 4 - granny smith apples
- 1 - loaf of white bread, cubed, crust removed and discarded
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 stick butter or margarine
How To Make crockpot apple brown betty

Step 1Wash apples, peel, core, cut into eighths; place in bottom of crock.

Step 2In a saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar and spices.

Step 3In a medium bowl, combine bread cubes, butter mixture; toss together. Pour on top of apples in the crock.

Step 4Cover and cook on low setting 2 to 3 hours.
