I learned to like crepes in Belgium. You can fill them with savory or sweet fillings, whichever you prefer. I even used this recipe for a demonstrative speech! The class paid very close attention, and enjoyed the taste treats also!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sifted flour
  • 4 teaspoons sugar
  • - oil

How To Make crepes

  • Step 1
    Place milk, eggs, butter, salt, sugar and flour in large bowl and beat smooth. Heat oil in fry pan. Pour in a spoonful of batter. Rotate the pan in all directions to cover surface evenly. Tip out excess batter. Cook one minute to lightly brown, then flip and brown other side.
  • Step 2
    Place a teaspoon of butter on each crepe and serve hot, folded or rolled. Or fill with syrup, jelly or fruit.
  • Step 3
    Can be chilled and filled with ice cream also.
