My daughters favorite dessert. I usually fill with a coconut cream custard, but today I made a cream filling... She loved them!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 - eggs
  • FILLING
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar
  • 1 small instant vanilla pudding mix

How To Make ~ creamed cream puffs ~

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a quart sauce pan, combine butter, water and salt and over high heat, bring to a boil. Remove from heat and add the flour all at once, stirring quickly until the dough Forms a ball. Let cool about 5 min. Add eggs one at a time, mixing in between each addition until dough is silky.
  • Step 2
    Drop by tablespoonfuls on parchment paper about 1/2 inch apart. Bake 25 minutes, then using a toothpick, poke a few holes in the sides of puff, this allows steam to escape and keeps from deflating. Bake 8 minutes longer.
  • Step 3
    Place puffs on a cooling rack and cool completely.
  • Step 4
    Filling: Beat whipping cream on high and add the sugar, as the cream begins to thicken - add the pudding mix, continue mixing until smooth and creamy consistency. Slice tops off puffs and remove any insides. Fill with favorite custard or cream filling. Can sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
