Ingredients

  • PUFFS

  • 1 c
    water
  • 1/2 c
    butter or margarine
  • 1 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 4
    eggs
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • CREAM FILLING

  • 2 pkg
    instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 pt
    whipping cream
  • 2 c
    milk

How to Make Cream Puffs

Step-by-Step

  1. Heat oven to 400 Degrees F.
  2. Heat water and butter to a rolling boil.
  3. Stir in flour
  4. Stir vigorously over low heat for about a minute or until mixture forms a ball
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Beat in Eggs, all at one time and continue beating until smooth
  7. Drop dough by scant 1/4 cupfuls three inches apart onto ungreased cooking sheet
  8. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until puffed and golden
  9. To make Cream Filling just combine all ingredients and use electric mixer until mixture begins to thicken
  10. Cool Away from draft or pastry will drop!!
  11. Cut off tops and pull out any filaments of soft dough
  12. Carefully fill puffs with cream filling and refrigerate until serving
