This recipe is from the book I got the Dinner rolls from.
It is not very healthy as it calls for lard. But it is the best pie crust I've ever

1/2 stick
butter, cold
1/4 tsp
baking soda
1 Tbsp
2 c
generous cups lard
1 tsp
1 large

How to Make Country Pie Crust


  • 1cut together flour,salt,baking soda,lard and butter. Should look like small peas.
  • 2put the egg in a cup beat with 1 tbsp vinegar, add enough ice water to make 3/4 cup beat well. mix with flour mixture
  • 3Turn out on floured surface, cover with bowl, let rest 10 minutes. Roll out. makes 5-10" or 6-9" crusts
  • 4For baking crust without filling. roll out dough line 1 pan set another pan inside and turn upside down. Bake at 425* for 20 minutes.
