How to Make Core Pound Cake Dessert (camping)
- Take a piece of tin foil, put a piece of the pound cake in the center. We get ours in a fresh loaf at Walmart, or frozen Sarah Lee from Walmart. If frozen, thaw first!
- Now put a spoon of the crushed pineapple on top of the pound cake; don't drain, just open the can. Sprinkle with any type of sprinkles.
- In a PA training, we added a drizzle of salted caramel topping (oh my land sakes was that well worth doing again cause your tongue and taste buds will do a happy dance like mine did). Fold up the foil well to encase your pound cake, and put at the edge of the campfire to heat through.
- When done, eat out of the foil. You can add whipped cream if you want, or ice cream.
